1-octadecanol is an organic compound, belonging to the fatty alcohol, with the molecular formula CH3(CH2)16CH2OH. it is white flake, insoluble in water. It has a wide range of uses as a lubricant, resin, perfume and cosmetic ingredient. It is used as emollient, emulsifier and thickener in ointment.
Application
1-Octadecanol can be used instead of hexadecane alcohol, in cosmetics as cream, emulsifier, also used as rice insulation agent, reservoir covering agent, defoamer, polish, lubricant, intermediates, surfactants, gas chromatographic comparison samples, etc.
