Ferulic acid is widely found in plants in nature, such as ferula, angelica, ligusticum chuanxiong, equisetum, and cimicifuga, among many other traditional Chinese medicines. Ferulic acid exists in both cis and trans forms, with the cis form being an oily substance and the trans form being a white to slightly yellow crystalline powder. In nature, it generally exists in the trans form, and the ferulic acid used in cosmetics is primarily in the trans form. This product is natural trans-ferulic acid.

Application

Natural ferulic acid has increasingly widespread applications in the fields of medicine, food, and cosmetics.

1. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-thrombotic, UV radiation protection, free radical scavenging, and immune function enhancement properties.

2. Clinically, it is primarily used for the treatment of coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, thromboangiitis
obliterans, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia.

3. In cosmetics, it is mainly used as an antioxidant.

4. Natural ferulic acid is the main raw material for producing natural vanillin.
