Sodium stearate is the sodium salt of stearic acid, a naturally occurring fatty acid. The appearance is white powder with a slippery feel and fatty smell. Easily soluble in hot water or hot alcohol. Used in soap and toothpaste manufacturing, also used as waterproofing agent and plastic stabilizer, etc.
Application
1.Use in soap
Mainly used for making soap detergent. It is used as active agent and emulsifier of personal care products.
Used to control foam during rinsing. (sodium stearate is the main ingredient in soap)
2.Use in cosmetics
In cosmetic, Sodium Stearate can be used in eye shadow, eye liner, shaving cream, moisturizer etc..
3.Use in food
In food, Sodium Stearate used as composition of Chewing gum base, and an anti-caking agent in Amimal feeds.
4.Other use
Sodium Stearate is also a kind of additive for inks, paints, ointments etc..
